Candle Materials: There are some popular candles, including soybean wax, paraffin wax, vegetable wax, coconut nut wax and some others. The paraffin holds a good aroma; Soybean wax lasts for a long time; Palm wax has a high melting point. Sometimes the candles are made with a mixture of wax types. However, you should be careful to trade an ingredient as more stable than others. Palm products contribute to deforestation, but soy is not necessarily durable if plants grow in a single part of the soil. After all, it is difficult to discern if a candle is really made steadily. Focusing on a ship will reuse, minimal packaging or brands that donate revenue towards environmental effort can help.
Candle Tips: The first time you burn a candle, put the “memory” wax. If you allow it to burn only for a while, and the entire upper surface of the candles does not melt, this sets an initial shape for the wax that can lead to the tunnel. Be sure to burn a candle evenly to avoid tunneling. If you encounter the tunneling, you can wrap the noodles around the candles as it is lit or use a hair dryer to help soften the surrounding wax, but I think it’s easier to avoid it in the first place.
Candle safety: Never leave a burnt candle without attention. Make sure the candles are completely extinguished before leaving. Keep your cut wicks in about a fourth of an inch. Keep the candles away from flammable materials (such as curtains or hair) and do not burn them in draft rooms. Make sure they are out of the reach of pets and children. Do not burn candles for more than a few hours at a time.
