In the first three rounds, Hernandez had a rim in two rounds and then took the third of Hovhannisyan, becoming a southpaw. In the fourth round, when Hervandez pressured, Hovhannisyan had a body attack.
In fifth and sixth rounds, Hernandez used a vicious body attack to hurt and protect Hovhannisyan. In the seventh round, Hernandez had Hovhannisyan, to end the fight, when he returned to Hovhannisya in the last seconds, with a rugged hole.
In the eighth round, again, Hernandez had Hovhannisyan with few returns against the ropers. Hovhannisyan had enough to cross the turn. In the ninth round, Hernandez was having his way, when David Solivan took a point in Hovhannisyan.
In the tenth and last round, Hernandez went to his body when he returned to Hovhannisya and did enough to take a round. The court score was 98-91, 98-91 and 98-91.
