The ambitions of Sam Goodman’s world titles are still alive – barely.
He returned to the Aussie Daily Aussie Horta pavilion on Wednesday night, and took a major victory over Mexican Cesar Vaca. It was believed to be clean tuning. Instead, Goodman left the ring covered with blood and sewed it again, but with the waya.
The judges entered 100-90, 99-91 and 99-92. No discussion. Just damage.
Goodman was ranked at the top of the Super Bantamweight section. This year before, Naoya Inoue was faced – a monster in the weight class – a camp of a bad workout until the dream is killed. This fight was reusing momentum and his name was confused again.
He did that. But not without drama.
The goodman rushed sharply in the first half, dictating the rhythm, the clean work of the body of the land, and never leaves empty. As shifts wore, the fight became a mess. Goodman suffered Two separate cuts – half a fight and a late eye over an unexpected head header. Blood spilled. Fans have blink. Goodman punched.
He managed the latest turns as professionals, jab was left behind, maintaining discipline, and to never leave hope.
20-0, Goodman has the top name of the top name outside the none – and he clearly did not leave.
After fighting, Goodman had tears aimed at his support team, Mad bunchAnd about the one who called the six most wild months of his life. His words were not polished. They shouldn’t be. The emotion said enough.
Inoue wants. And if the one matches, Goodman retreated in the conversation.
In Location, Commonwealth Games Harry Garside Gold Medal, long expected to return professional boxing after three years in the game. And he didn’t lose time.
Garside got Charlie Bell’s victory in front of a crowd of Sydney. . The crowd caught a lot of surprises to the decisions to wave in the fight, bells, still standing and negotiating planes at the time of the stop. It wasn’t vintage, but it was enough. He showed the type of experience that sharply sharpen the movement, time and pressure. Bell tried to be rough, but Garside kept things under control and flooded.
Finish arrived late. Garside won. And now it’s back in a light conversation – he was the real roar behind him.
It was believed to be buried under the main event. It was a fight that everyone was talking about.
Fighting for the title of Australian heavy weight, Stevan Ivic and toese vousiutu went to war in ten straight rounds, Sydney has seen in one of the most pleasant slugfest seen in Sydney.
It was ugly, it was savage, it was chaos.
6. According to the round, Vousiatu was almost over. His corner gave him an ultimatum: we take a step or throw a towel. He replied as a lunatic and put the whole fight on his head. 7. He was swinging in the round and threw almost iviko with a monster shot. The place exploded.
Both men negotiated after the turn of Haymakers, cleaning massive shots. You can listen to the thuds ring. Tim Tszyu, when you see it live, called him “Age Battle”. Ben Damon said the man by-play was “the annual turn”.
And they weren’t too excessive.
Eventually, Ivic decided to take his title unanimously – 96-94, 96-93, 96-93. But honestly, no one lost. Two men embraced in the last hood. Fans walked for minutes.
This was not a manufactured show. Two hard blows were entered into the basement and trying to extract each other in a war site in a struggle. The best card fight was not only, it has been the best fight for boxing in Australia all year.
