Strictlyvc in Athens will display the Prime Minister of Greece

We are excited to announce that the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakiswill join us in our future Event strictly in Athensco-owned with EFFORTSOn Thursday night, May 8, at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.

For those who may not be familiar with his ancestry, Mitsotakis brings an interesting mix of experiences on the table. Before entering politics, he worked on both McKinsey and Chase Investment Bank, giving him first -hand experience in the business world that many operators throughout the initial ecosystem can appreciate. The youngest of the four children, he also has some academic credentials of Silicon Valley-Esque-Ai headed to Harvard, then at Stanford for a master’s degree in international relations, and finally made an MBA at Harvard Business School-and say that his education has long formed his vision of Greece’s future.

In fact, Mitsotakis has been protecting the transformation of Greece’s technology for many years. After helping the country navigate through the pandemic, he doubled in the positioning of Athens as a developing technology center, recently introducing initiatives to attract international talent, including tax stimuli and reforms aimed at shortening red bureaucratic strips for new businesses.

The prime minister comes from a political family – his father was prime minister and his sister was chairman of Athens – but he carved his reputation as a reformer focused on modernizing the Greek economy. His administration has been particularly interested in how technology can help diversify traditional Greek strengths such as transport and tourism.
