Promoter Oscar de La Hoa questioned that Devin Hanny’s chin could be repaired in the year that he had been out of his ring since Ryan lost to Garcia last April. De La Hoa thinks 26 -year -old Hanny was thrown three times and the many times he was injured in the fight against Ryan could permanently damage his chin.

This is a bad thing for Hanny (1-5, 6k) to eradicate its loss by the New York State Athletic Commission due to Garcia’s positive tests for the banned pedal. However, Hanny is fighting with the powerful Panchar Jose Ramirez (25-2, 3KO) on Friday, May 2 at Times Square, New York City. The Commission can do nothing about Hani’s Chin to take Honey China away from that fight.
Carrier at risk?
De La Hoa thinks Honey has the heart, and he says that this is why he was up after being dropped by Kingry last April. However, if Hanny’s chin goes out of that fight, the heart cannot save him against Ramirez because he will hit him all night. He will not take a rest break the way Ryan did because he has a better engine.
We could see the end of Devin’s career on Friday night if he beat and stop Ramirez. It will be worse for Hanny against other Welterwette fighters because many of them have become stronger than Ramirez and are very young. Hanny is too big to return to 3, and even if he does that, he will be food for fighters like Gary Antuan Russell, Alberto Pooooo and Richardson Hitchins.
