Deepmind’s UK team of Google is said to be joining


About 300 London -based members of the Google -focused Deepmind team are seeking to join the communication employee union, according to A Financial Times report This quotes three people involved in the unification attempt.

These deep employees are reported to be unhappy about Google’s decision to remove a commitment not to use it for weapons or supervision from its website. They are also concerned about the company’s work with the Israeli military, including a cloud computing contract of $ 1.2 billion promoted protests elsewhere on Google.

A source told FT that team members feel “deceived”, and correspondence is reported to indicate that at least five members of Deepmind’s staff have left these issues. Deepmind has about 2,000 general members of the UK staff.
